Ice Hockey Beginner Question?
I'm 21 years old, 6'1 180 and some of my friends and myself to get a hockey team intramural ice together. I have to buy gloves, shin guards, skates helmet (with cage), and the stick. I'll probably buy elbow and will probably be too on the ice a lot even if I am a strong skater. Flex Stick I was wondering what I should get and what kind of skates are good for a beginner (less expensive, durable, comfortable) what I'm looking for. Other recommendations for other arts are too big! thank you! We are not allowed to take the stick above your waist for a slap shot
You do not get the shoulder pads? You may want to invest in those too, only because the league said "no control "(if applicable to your league), which means that not checked. My old (played hockey SA and about the same size as you) I-660 Tech shoulder and shin pads, elbow pads Bauer CCM 592 helmet and pants McKinnely, my other son has Winwell pants and elbow pads, shin guards and shoulder pads and a helmet CCM Tack Hespeler. It was another Bauer Supreme skates CCM Vector 7.5 has. The oldest is 4 clubs with different flex and give everyone (by the position he plays like he uses a cane) and my youngest son (who is 10 years old) used a 45 flex and Flex 50 is a keeper too. We found a large quantity of material on E-Bay and everything is new or very gently used, and cheaper than buying new ones. Hope this helps and remember skating with his head! My oldest is a broken knee and dislocated his shoulder now and not that he had his head bowed. Retalitory affected but the other left the ice and my son and ended the game with injuries he had. Attention almost forgot the gloves were Eastons (those are for your team, SA) and a pair of Koho and other uses of CCM and gloves player Bauer and Koho blocker and receiver. Personally I prefer sticks Wood mixed schools, but I am old when it comes to my stcik.
