Guide to the City of Bradford
Bradford is a city of northern history major with a long and rich history and a population of nearly 300,000 people.

History
Bradford was granted City status in the nineteenth century, but its history is documented since the thirteenth century. Bradford has created an area of significant production during the Industrial Revolution but suffered from the collapse of manufacturing industry during the twentieth century. There were signs of improvement during the last twenty years, but the unemployment rate remains below the national average.
The National Media Museum is the most visited museum outside London, exploring developments in photography, film and television, and housing the largest cinema screen in the world.

The village of Saltaire nineteenth century was built to house the workforce and local plant is one two World Heritage sites in Yorkshire.
Art Galleries
Bradford has numerous galleries including Cartwright Hall has four separate rooms, showing the works of British art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and a selection of art from South Asia and crafts.
Salts Mill is a shopping complex and the Arts, located in a Victorian mill, transformed into the village of Saltaire. There are four galleries in the complex, including David Hockney Gallery, a gallery to discover the heritage of the region and a third showing the opera costumes and masks.
The Manor House in Ilkley and Arts Center, in Bingley, host a series of temporary exhibitions.
Business
The Alhambra Theater Bradford is the only large-scale theater, nestled in a beautiful Victorian building. The theater regularly hosts large scale productions on tour including games at West End shows and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
The Alhambra Studio is located next door, and the phases of representations small scale.
Bradford Theater-in-the-Mill is adjacent to campus, and offers small-scale productions, and drama and technical workshops.
Companies specializing in musicals and concerts include St George's Hall, The Tamsin Little Music Center and the Priestley small.
Restaurants
Among the prize winning restaurants in Bradford is Weaver. The restaurant is highly recommended by Good Food Guide, AA, Michelin and hardens, and serves traditional cuisine and modern British.
Bradford 'Curry Mile "is home to more than twenty Indian and Asian-influenced restaurants, including Kashmir is widely regarded as the best customers, and Mumtaz Paan House is recommended by Good Food Guide. Kipling's Indian Restaurant has received the "Award of Great Britain Awards voting client.
Chino Thai serves Chinese and Thai dishes in an up-market environment, and accommodates up to 100 people.
Pubs / Bars
Bradford CAMRA recommended pubs in the city, and the pub name The Junction 'of the year "In 2006. The other contenders were Haigy and cock fighting.
Brewery Tap is a pub offering features Live Acts rock two or three times a week, offers jukebox free and offers various drinks. Local oldest music Bradford also has a billiard room and garden.
FUBAR is a cocktail bar and restaurant Tapas with a wide selection of cocktails, wines, spirits and beers, with a chic and stylish interior that belie its low prices.
The Hotel Sun is one of Bradford popular gay bars and regular DJs, drag acts-quiz. There is a lounge, swimming pool and games room, beer garden withdrawn and rooms for rent upstairs.
Clubs
Rio is a rock club and place of live music, one of many boxes Night Bradford, open three nights a week and made a selection of 80 and punk to indie and goth. Admission is free before 9:30 pm and the Drinks are cheap.
Managed by the owners of the Hotel Sol Club Life is a popular gay club, offering the best classic song and 'cheesy pop'. Admission is free on Thursday, and a variety of DJs perform Friday.
Lingard is a home, garage speed, complex technology, which includes a pre-bar-club, disco and nightclub Underground Ascension. Some night club in the complex twice a week.
The apple of love is another complex, this time composed of a cafe, bar, nightclub and art exhibition. The club specializes in music unconventional, and hosts live performances of music.
Shopping
The Kirkgate Shopping Center is home to 65 shops and a larger market the upper deck. There are 550 parking spaces, and the center is easily accessible in the center of the city. It is open daily.
The Trade Center Oastler is a market in downtown, which includes 80 posts and trade shops and fresh fish, meat, fruits and vegetables. There are also cafes and markets. St James wholesale market is located outside the city center and is the place to find exotic food produce.
Salts Mill is a mill Victorian, now a shopping and arts development. The development is home to numerous shops selling unusual merchandise trade, a cafeteria, dining room and four galleries.
Sports
Richard Dunn Sports Center is the largest forty entertainment centers of the city, and has a pool of 25 meter swimming pool and leisure activities for children, a gym and a sauna, solarium and squash. The center is open daily.
College the city offers an impressive array of sports facilities in three locations. The Center houses the majority of sports facilities, Laisteridge Lane site is home squash, football and hockey or rotation, and Woodhall playground provides sites for football, rugby and cricket.
There are golf courses at forty Bradford, including Queensbury Golf Club, 18 holes, with a lounge and bar on site.
