Hockey Mask Friday 13th

Film Review: Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993)

The Friday the 13th franchise has fallen a long way when this inspiring result JASON GOES TO HELL: displays the last Friday of success in 1993. New Line Cinema had the franchise rights for Paramount, which has been bled white, four years before the Party 8: Jason Takes Manhattan, so I decided to go in a different direction. In the new film Jason has become a supernatural being who can change your body and be reborn through a parent.

JASON GOES TO HELL throws most of folklore surrounding the franchise in the service of a lake of glass, where tourists visit the restaurant local hockey masks as hamburgers and everyone knows that Jason is still alive, but refuse to stop going to the lake left on an excursion into the night, a quick smoke and a break-even faster. When Jason gives this film its ugly head is high camp and the audience saw everything the franchise has to offer.

Only after having been shattered in an ambush military transfers the spirit of Jason Voorhees and the judge returned to his city, killing everyone who stands in his way. It was only a short time before it is forced go to another body, whether looking for their parents who live only to hold the key to its revival and eventual death predicted by the Duke Bounty Hunter enigmatic Creighton (Steven Williams) who has his own agenda.

Jason makes quick work of their family Diana Kimble (Erin Gray), but is unable to perform rebirth, which is interrupted by Steven Freeman (John D. Lemay). After the death of Diana learns he has a son with the daughter of Diana / his ex-girlfriend Jessica (Kari Keegan) which may also revive Jason. Steven soon finds himself in prison for the murder of Diana, who is Jessica coming home not only with his daughter, but a new boyfriend Robert Campbell (Steven Culp), a celebrity news are made in secret, an exhibition of Jason Voorhees and that Duke is willing to pay a large sum of money to show that Voorhees is still alive.

Steven soon finds himself a fugitive on the run for murder, trying to protect her daughter Jessica and Jason continues to jump on the bodies of his closest friends, in order to achieve them. Everything comes to a climatic conclusion to the door of the old Voorhees house, a house in which Jessica has always been forbidden to go.

For a Friday the 13th film Jason Goes to Hell is actually a very sophisticated field. This is not your typical stalk stalk, kill, kill slasher. I give credit to the filmmakers to try something new, but because of the cinematography and the appearance of any film that comes out of camp with many scenes completely absurd. The film is heavily influenced by The Hidden (1987), almost to the point of plagiarism. Not even Harry Manfredini score can help the film and each film marked the first Friday. There is little to redeem the film when he wants to redeem himself.
