what are the chances of getting into the nhl?
23 from illinois,been skating my whole life,been a true hockey fan my whole life.its very expensive as a sport so its hard to get into leagues and camps w/o going broke.i play nothing but neighborhood hockey w/friends(even though most of you think that doesnt count)but its helped me more than alot.I WANT ANSWERS that doesnt go about killing my hopes n dreams to all of you who think those things cant happen.what would i need to do?i played for a few leagues at a really young age between 8-15.than high school hockey got super expensive.what should i do to get in.i need actuall good answers(not it aint happening or w/e)thank you
you’ve got less than a 1 in a million shot at making it into the NHL. Guys that make it to the NHL usually start skating before they can walk and they litterally play year round on a sheet of ice. Those guys do nothing but eat sleep and breathe hockey. If you want to make it I’d suggest going to rinks during the summer sometimes college kids go out there to skate during the off season as opposed to skating at the college and talking to them and playing with them. Sorry to crush you dreams but if you havn’t played competitive your whole life and played with kids from all over the nation that were in the USHL at the age of 16 then there isn’t much hope. sorry but that’s just a fact of life.
