Hockey Skates Michigan
Beginning age for hockey?
Suggestions on when I can get my son on skates? I don’t mean on a team or anything. Just up on skates pushing around a puck for fun. I just think it’d be super cute. Where would I find tiny skates and sticks in Northern Michigan?
He’s just 27 months but we were out in the woods and I caught him holding a stick like a hockey stick! It was adorable. He’s had running down pat for a while so now I guess I just have to find tiny skates.
I’m much older than my youngest brother, and when he was 22 months old I bought him those little training rollerblade-type skates with two little wheels that don’t really spin. He would skate everywhere in the house and outside with them. I got the smallest stick I could find and cut it to his size and gave him a little ball to play with. We just threw a helmet on him and let him go. If he falls down, he’s got like what, 10 inches to fall?
My brother is an incredible hockey player now and I have now doubt it’s because he started so young. I didn’t start until I was in my teens, and I suck!… just kidding.
Get him on skates as soon as he has running under his belt.
