Hockey Skates Profile

What kind of skate profile/radius should a defensive hockey player have?
I play defense in hockey and I was wondering what the recommended profile/radius for skates were. i know it’s personal preference, but i was wondering what most defensive players use
Depending on what kind of defenceman you are. If you like to skate, try 5/8″-1/2″ for more speed. If not try something sharper such as 1/4″-3/8″ for control.
I have played goalie, and ussually get them done at 1/2″ even though they say 1″ is best for goalies. So it does have a lot to do with how you play the game. My recomendation is to start with something like 1/2″ and figure out what you like better. If you want more control, sharpen em up. More speed, go for a less sharp profile next time.
