Getting in Shape for Ice Hockey?
Hello, I play hockey and I’m at the midget level, I got burnt out so i took a month break and now I’m more into hockey then ever. Yesterday, after being off skates for about two months I played on the ice again. During the first half of practice when we were doing drills I was flying and it felt really good but then towards the second half of practice I lost all of my energy and had no stamina. What can I do to get more stamina and energy such as off ice work outs. Thanks
laps – Start off with at least one mile, then in about 2 weeks move up to 2 miles and so on.
2 minute wall sits
Jumping jacks
Lunges
Jump Squats
(its like a jumping jack but instead you jump into a squat)
pushups
Russian Twists
(lay on floor like your fixing to do some crunches, put hands beside you, lift up and touch your right elbo with your left knee,go back down, then lift up and touch your left elbo with your right knee)
