Great Hockey Skates
How many people out there play Roller Hockey? Ok, the sport is not as popular as it used to be, but thanks to Flyers making history with their win over Boston, people are starting to take notice again. How will this affect equipment that is used in the sport of hockey? I have a guess on that one. I am willing to bet that the companies will more likely than not put together some marketing campaigns with the latest technology to help sell some new hockey gear. You can most certainly bet that these companies will be trying to pass off their skates as the Best Hockey Skates. Why is that and what makes a good hockey skate be deemed the best?
Well, for one, money is a big factor. Any sports company will try and capitalize on a historic moment and see what they can sell as the next big thing. Why do I think hockey skates will be the target? Hockey players need skates. Period. They cannot play without them and they are going to want the absolute best. They want to be fast, because it is an extremely fast sport where speed can make or break the player or team.
How do you know if a Roller hockey skate is good or not. How do you know if it is great or just good. With inline hockey you need to look at four things. Does the skate have aluminum chasis? Does the skate have high rated bearings. Does the skate fit the foot tightly and is it comfortable. Lastly, does the skate have the proper set of hockey wheels. Remember, indoor wheels should be soft. Out door wheels should be hard. If the skate doesn’t grip properly, then for the hockey player, they will not be the best hockey skates.
