Hockey Skates Texas
Why don’t many people like hockey?
I’ve lived in Texas my whole life, and almost NO ONE likes hockey. I don’t understand. It has hard hits, great skill, and fights. The Stanley Cup in my opinion is the TOUGHEST trophy to win. Look how many games they have to play, look how violent it can be. These guys pour out more blood, sweat and tears than anyone in major league sports. I grew up playing football, baseball and soccer. I decided to try hockey when I turned 21, it is the single hardest sport i have EVER played. You have to be able to skate, control the puck, and keep from getting the ever-loving shit knocked out of you. To be honest, the only thing i could do was hit people. And most of that was because I wasnt very good at stopping, so instead of trying I just sped up and used an opponent to stop me. Can anyone else tell me why? I love it, and I wish more people appreciate the things that these guys do.
Man… I’m canadian. I dont understand it either. I’m guessing because there’s no ice in texas and not many people actually try and play the game. Its basically a side show in the south because you can never experience it. UP here in Canada, its godly. Its a lifestyle. During the regular season, its all about the hockey teams.
And you’re right. Hockey has everything… Every muscle in your body is important because its a game that requires everything. You need speed, hand-eye coordination, awareness, and intelligence. Its very fast and coordinated.
Then there are the bonus aspects like, the HITS, the fights, the goals the saves.
And… not that I like admitting it, but they have the worst injuries of all the sports. Skate blades, pucks in the face, high sticks. Its just a brutal sport.
Nothing compares to hockey.
