Hockey Skates Wax Laces
Lace bite on Hockey Skates?
i have two pairs of skates that are horrible for lace bite. yet companies claim that the tongue has lace bite protection in it. i find that to be untrue.
so what im trying to get at is, what skates have the best lace bite protection in the tongues?
now ive heard peope saying waxed laces and lace bite protection in the same sentence…any truth?
i really do want a new pair of skates cause the ones i have now are either old or not fitting propery…along with the lace bite problem.
What kind of skates do you have? I personally have Bauer Vapors right now. They are the best skates I have owned. But as far as stopping lace bite. There are little things you can do. Because it is not so much the skate tongues , it is how you wear it. Always wear long socks. That is the biggest help. It gives you a bit of a cushion. Watch how you tie your skates . Try adjusting the tightness for a little bit. Also if it starts to develop just buy some of the flat make up sponge pads and put them in your sock where the bite is occurring in order to have an extra cushion. I also use the waxed laces myself. They seem to work fine . If you really want new skates. Go and try some on . I can only tell you which ones feel good on my feet . That is the Bauer Vapors.
