How do I train for hockey with these options?
Well, first I'm 14, I'm 5'6 "and 126 pounds and I want train for hockey season 2007-08. In 2006-07 I played minor bantam AA (Canada), I really want to AAA this year. I have a medicine ball 8 pounds, one of those big balls, weight 10 pounds, 4 pounds two weights, a stationary bike, and I have a subscription to the YMCA (gym). I wonder what I should do to train for hockey. I've heard that weight training stunts growth not want my growth is stunted. I also play lacrosse. I a network of hockey, and drives a stick of course, and a fake ice. How should I train with all these things?
There are many books of hockey specific training, if you have a car or access to a coach during the offseason. But it will be good to have a partner to keep things loose, fun, and the constant level of motivation. Of all the teams include: I got a bike stationary, belonging to the butt, gymnasium, and his hockey team in the list. I would not recommend unless the panel weight you can lift with proper technique, were slightly older, and monitoring (so you do not get hurt). Instead, focus on gymnastics, for example, push arm, push ups, squats, and just about anything in your own body weight. This is anaerobic exercise, I suggest. For aerobics, I would suggest cycling, lacrosse and running. Rollers are excellent facilities for off-ice training. Two days of training between aerobic and anaerobic but also leaves a space for rest / recovery / fun. That's how I lacrosse and other sports … to stay in shape, but you do not get burned Hockey training / breeding throughout the year. Lacrosse is also ideal for improving the skills of hand-eye coordination and development the "soft hands", that is to receive passes. Besides ice hockey shooting, I suggest you work on the development of each type of shot. I think the quality and quantity. The correct technique. Once you go, try to recreate game situations than speed. Practice rapid rebound near the goal with its board are false recover all times, from different angles, the right foot, feet, big balls etc.? If you mean the balls gym bags, more power to you. Find someone to help you focus and concentrate on strengthening its core. Often considered a basic training. Hockey specific things that may want to focus to determine if you have someone to work with you and see the technical skating power and plyometrics. I guess it's only 14 and can still have some aspects of growth, but when you step on the ice, you can go against older children. Focus on what you have in your favor … low center of gravity and work on things we can control. Skating strength, speed and agility. This is where the power skating, agility training and plyometrics to play in the improvement of same. Also do not forget to work on his stick handling. Check books online, talk to coaches, older children, etc. I realize their desire to advance to the next level, but remember to enjoy what you do. Keep things fun and lose some of their motivation to maintain a constant level. Is well before you want to mix a hard drive with a few "wrong property" throughout the game collection with others. Studies have shown that young Players have fun and be creative with the disc. Experience. Give yourself permission to try new things, new Wounds, feints, etc., to keep things. I know it's a little more than read and follow, but it's a tall order and there is no way I can get in the details. In fact, I only scratched the surface here. The most important thing is to maximize your time, stay injury-free, and enjoy! Good luck.
