Ice Hockey Skates Blisters
What type of Ice Skates would you recommend?
Hi, I often go Ice Skating for fun at my local Ice Rink. Up to now I have always just used the hire skates but I’ve found out since I’ve been going more regularly they are giving me blisters. I am prepared to buy some but don’t know which type to buy. Most of my friends there seem to have Hockey ones (They go just for fun like me) but I have no idea which ones to get. I’m a boy if that matters.
I have skated since I was 2 (common age to start for Canadians). I prefer Mission or Bauer, but my sons seem to prefer Reebok/CCM. It depends on the width of you feet. If you want to play hockey get good hockey skates, such as Graf or or Bauer Vapour (nothing below a model VII), or Easton. CCM Tacks may be another option. Nike/Bauer (same company) tend to be narrower in my experience.
