How to Locate us?
If you are travelling by train you are most likely to get down at New Delhi railway station. After coming out of the station one can take a taxi or auto, to any of the hotels nearby or could take a direct taxi to NOIDA. To get to the academy from anywhere in NOIDA would not be inconvenient because AAG is located in Sector 2 close to the Indian Oil Building, a land mark of NOIDA as one enters it from Delhi. All the buses in NOIDA pass this area as it is one of the first areas which you enter if you come from Delhi.
Things to Bring
One must bring his or her personal belongings which maybe very essential. The students can bring their bikes/computers/cars; NOIDA is a warm place except November, December and January so the students should carry more of cotton clothing.
Bank Account
All students can choose to have a bank account in any of the banks because almost all of the banks have branches near the academy.
Where to Stay?
Finding a comfortable and affordable accommodation is one of the top priorities in choosing where to study. Our appointed accommodation person can support your search for right place to stay independently or as a paying guest. Many Boys and Girl students of various colleges and institutes in and around NOIDA live in rented accommodation nearby.
Places to Visit in and Around NOIDA
Situated at the banks of the River Yamuna, NOIDA has evolved from an erstwhile industrial township to a bustling suburban hub.
Ideally located just 14 km away from New Delhi Railway Station and the heart of the National Capital, India Gate, Parliament House and Rajeev Place, NOIDA is connected by three bridges to South Delhi which is just minutes away, Faridabad, Mathura and Agra. It is 35 km away from the New Delhi International Airport.
Sector 18 Market : With its profusion of shopping malls, banks, hotels, restaurants, pubs, fast-food joints, ice cream parlors, cinema multiplexes, the Sector 18 market in NOIDA is the CENTRE POINT of all trade and commercial activities. World-class brands line the streets alongside bargain outlet shops selling factory seconds in NOIDA’s biggest market.
Sports Stadium : Sports lovers need not be glum as the stadium located at Sector 21A is being developed into an international level stadium and already offers separate areas for sports such as basketball and roller skating. Regional and National level cricket and hockey tournaments are regularly held here.
When not in use for any major sporting events, the NOIDA Stadium also hosts a bevy of activities ranging from Dog Shows, Flower Shows and various other cultural events. Speaking of cultural events, the adjacent grounds around the Stadium are also the venue for the largest Ramlila and Dussehra celebrations in NOIDA, besides being the venue for the odd travelling Circus which happens to be in town.
Film City : NOIDA has its own little Hollywood; Sector 16A, also known as Film City is home to numerous studios where serials and shows are shot for television. Not just film studios, the place also has a high concentration of TV news channels.
Parks and Outdoor Life : Many excellent parks are located in NOIDA, such as the Gandhi Park next to the main NOIDA roundabout, or NOIDA Gol Chakkar as we call it. Parks are located in almost every corner of this township with every sector sporting at least one. Good places to spend your free time with a sketchbook and pencil.
If you are a serious nature lover, then the areas closer to the riverbanks have been declared bird sanctuary and are witness to migratory birds who dot the river, especially during winter months. Serious bird watching clubs also exist in and around NOIDA.
If you like architectural grandeur, then the city of Delhi with its Ancient Mughal heritage nestling side by side with more modern structures such as the trade fair centre Pragati Maidan and the serenity of the Bahá’í Lotus Temple and the more recent Akshardham Temple, we suggest, offer excellent input for sketching and drawing.
Places to Eat : Like any other melting pot of different cultures, NOIDA offers a vast variety of cuisines and food options to satisfy every kind of palette or budget. Sector 18 is the place for all your fast food needs; alternatively you can go to Brahmaputra market in sector 29 for rolls and kababs.
Places to Shop for Books : Most of the biggest book stores in Delhi have an outlet in NOIDA. Usually in the Sector 18 Market. Sundays can be interestingly spent checking out Darya Ganj in Old Delhi, where you will find books by the hundreds at very low prices.
For your Computer Systems : Relax, Nehru Place is the hub for wholesale and retail computer technology where you can buy new PCs or Laptops at good prices. The shops here can help you put together the best possible configurations as well as the budget PC. This computing hub is just 20 Kms. from NOIDA.
